Mark Whitfield – Education Director: Mark has almost 30 years of experience in the education sector. A qualified teacher, Mark spent thirteen years working in the university teacher education sector in the UK and for the last 10 years Mark has worked in the K-12 sector in the Middle East. Mark brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the organisation. During his time in the Middle East, Mark held senior roles with Nord Anglia Education, International Schools Partnership, Britus Education and Bin Omeir Education Foundation. Currently residing in Croatia, Mark is working in a range of schools in Middle East and Europe. Mark has an outstanding track-record in supporting school leaders and teachers to improve learning, achievement and academic outcomes. Chris Marshall – Operations Director: Chris has more than 25 years working with leading businesses in the education sector. After qualifying as a teacher, Chris has held senior roles in school businesses focused on delivering solutions, around the world. While originally focusing on people solutions, Chris’ expertise ranges from start-ups to financial strategy and school business development. Chris has worked with leading organisations such as Synarbor and GEMS Education. Now living in Canada, Chris is currently working with schools in Europe, the Middle East and North America providing bespoke strategies and solutions to strengthen school businesses. He has successfully delivered key initiatives impacting school businesses and is currently working on several school start-ups at different stages of delivery. Hugh MacPherson – Investment Director: Hugh has enjoyed executive roles with a number of the sector’s leading school operators including Nord Anglia, GEMS and WCL/British Schools of America and managed successful education businesses in GCC/MENA, US, UK and a variety of European locations. In addition, Hugh was founding partner of a UAE based fund and management company focused on the acquisition and operation of K-12 international schools in the GCC. Hugh’s school leadership experience includes schools in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, the Seychelles and Eastern Europe. He has a proven track record of success within the international private school sector of meeting the targets and aspirations of multiple, and diverse, stakeholders including investors, parents and teachers. Critically, Hugh thrives on the opportunity to be the “outward face” for investors and for the delivery of business improvement and growth. Some specific sector experience relates to participation in the successful sale of a highly attractive equity owned international school business development of K-12 acquisition pipelines and support of  new investors and existing operators to identify and enter new markets in Asia[Hong Kong /China/Thailand] and The Middle East.
